Description:
Help shape the adult leadership of Girl Scouts! Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity that also boosts your own professional development ? become a Girl Scouts certified trainer. Girl Scout trainers work with adult volunteers who are responsible for leading girls and Girl Scout activities. Volunteers are needed for a variety of training area including leadership development, age level and social development training, as well as outdoor training. Trainers must provide their own transportation and are required to complete a Train the Trainer course which consists of (4) 3 hour modules taken over a year?s time. Trainers train the first year in partnership with a master trainer. Trainers must provide their own transportation.
Date: Ongoing opportunities are available but trainers are asked to train for 3 sessions per year. Sessions are usually 3-4 hours in duration.
Time commitment: Trainers are asked to train for a total of 12 hours per year.
Where: Based on availability, skill set, and location. Locations throughout central Maryland.
