CAST YOUR VOTE for the the Long Island Index People's Choice Award to select the best idea from among the 23 finalists in the Build a Better Burb design competition. The competition was first announced in March of this year with a goal of re-invigorating ideas for Long Island's future. Bold ideas were requested to re-imagine how we might address the problems facing our region - a slowing economy, the brain drain, insufficient housing options, among others. In total over 560 people from around the world worked on 212 submissions. The ideas ran the gamut from the possible to the extraordinary. A jury reviewed the entries and winnowed it down to just 23 that reflect the full range of designs that were submitted. To learn more & vote before August 31 >>>
